Monthly Archives: September 2013

Here we go..again!

So it’s [almost] a new month so I figure what better way to kick off October than to actually start writing on my blog! There really is no excuse as to why I have been terribly delinquent in this other than i’m just lazy busy. Ok– i’m lazy. And I’m going to get better with that!

So last time I was on here was when I was heading to St. Louis for a fun and food-filled week. Let me tell you: it ROCKED! not only did the Lou not let me down on the fabulous cuisine but I was also able to see and hang out with some of my amazing friends AND I got to see “Les Miserables” at The Muny. Priceless. I will post some pics from the trip but honestly I was way too busy having a good time to stop and snap. Perhaps being committed to the blog will help me be more conscientious of things around me.

It’s looking like a crazy October is in store for us but we are so looking forward to having my father visit for a bit, running our 6th (??) half marathon, Linger Longer boat and beach time, b-days, and of course….fall/winter comfort food! I’m going to switching up my work schedule so I can have more time during the week to whip up some amazing Julia Child recipes that seem to keep alluding me. OH! And how can I forget brisk fall evenings outside on the hammock sitting in front of our fabulous chiminea! Hopefully this year we won’t burn down our mandevilla plant!

well, that’s all I got for now. Stay tuned as I update my cookbooks tab and also add in all those favorite recipes of ours! Did I mention I made an amazing oxtail stew the other weekend!?

Have a great day!
